Just ridiculously bad! I will not compare it to the movie with the similar title. We persevered watching up to the second episode which was so appalingly stupid that we gave up, and didn't even finish this one because, lots of people saw them as the last persons to be with the billionaire and they just assumed they would get away with cutting him up and disposing of this famous entitiy in New York? Absurd script, it's an insult to our intelligence.Acting is not so bad but as others have said, we didn't see much chemistry between the "married couple." How can they be a couple when they tmsemselves already promised not to get involved? Just so amateurish, not worth our time! Sorry! Scored more than *0% in Rotten Tomatoes? Wow, no wonder I don't beleive their ratings, omg

I absolutely hated this movie! Firstly, it was awfully boring! I'm sure a general with Napolen's stature would have passion and charisma even at the smallest level! But Joaquin Phoenix was terrible in this film. I actually think he is way over rated! Other boring elements -the plot, the dialogues, the general tone of the movie. It is as one reviewer said, seemed like a love story and the of focus on the "philandering" heroine. Vanessa's character was also ghastly boring, you can tell she was acting! Her eyes show that she herself was bored about her role. Even the battle scenes were flat, not a lot of excitement to be illicited, what a awful waste of time watching this film. I enjoyed The Last Kingdom more, the fight/battle scenes, the sword fights, magnificent, unlike this Ridley film. Don't get me wrong, I adored "Gladiator!, it has heart, it has excitement and most of all, it has Russell Crowe! But Joaquin, sorry to say was the worst actor I have seen this year in a big movie. The only positive thing here is the colour palette, though, again, if the aim was to generate melancholy and boredom, then it hands down achieved it. if you have not seen it, better not, you have other films to enjoy, not this one, a very forgettable one!

Highly recommended for its thrilling action and suspenseful realistic scenes. The setting is so real, you feel like you're in the middle of the mayhem! It has a lot of heart and kudos to acting of Chris H, he's improved a lot and action suits him. The kidnapped boy also was a good actor, he gave Chris a run for his money! His subtle acting even made me cry a few tears! Well done everyone involved in this movie!

Seasons one and two awere tolerable due to the landscapes, the various quaint European cities and villages, we reminisce our trips to those places too! However, much is to be desired from the script, acting is not so bad, Donald Sutherland is always great. I just cannot get over the croaking dodgy voice of the Italian actress! It's as if my own throat is hurting! Season three was not an improvement at all. Louis, Carl and Sebastian were also believable, wished they were still in Season three but alas, this show has gone down the drain with the boring, cold ,charmless and unimaginative Elizabeth Mitchell, what a shame! The others were ok- espeically Ellie and Arabella. But again, script was very Americanised and contrived. It can be saved with a new Director, Scriptwriter and more European culture, less American actors too!
