If you're into that 90s vibe, you gotta see "Guns and Gulaabs" on Netflix. Man, it's like a blast from the past. Remember cassette players and those old landline phones? Playing book cricket? Those funky hairdos? Riding around on mopeds and Yezdi bikes? And hey, there's even a Kumar Sanu song that's so quick, if you blink, you'd miss it.
Raj & DK nailed it again. The story's cool, and the actors? Top-notch. Raj Kumar Rao plays Tipu, the kind of underdog dude he's done before and, no surprise, he's awesome at it. But you gotta watch out for Adarsh Gaurav. If you've seen Divyenndu as Munna Tripathi in "Mirzapur", you'll get the vibe – though Adarsh's version is a tad less intense. Gulshan Devaiah does his thing as Aaatmaram, kinda reminded me of his role in "Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota". And Dulquer? Solid performance for his first OTT show. He's a South Indian superstar, but his Hindi is on point! Props to the whole crew, including TJ Bhanu and the kids, especially Tanishq Chaudhary.
Oh, and gotta shoutout to Satish Kaushik. What a way to leave us with a memorable act.
The whole thing's set in this fictional town called Gulaabganj, somewhere in the beautiful Himachal. It's like the wild west but in the mountains. Great drama, some fun moments, sharp dialogues, and quirky characters. "Guns and Gulaabs" – definitely worth a watch.
