Viduthalai Part 2 is a politically charged and thought-provoking masterpiece by the genius Vetri Maaran 🎥. With its deep philosophical undertones and sharp ideology, this is peak communism on screen 🛠️. Vijay Sethupathi aka Makkal Selvan delivers a stellar performance, while the romantic arc between him and the graceful Manju Warrier is beautifully layered ❤️. Soori nails it as Kumaresan, continuing his power-packed portrayal from Part 1 💥. Ken Karunas’ scenes hit hard, and Ilaiyaraaja’s haunting score, especially “Manasula,” is perfection 🎶. However, the film’s slow pace and choppy editing due to the runtime cut (where’s that 4-hour version?!) slightly hold it back ⏳. Still, this is cinema that educates, inspires, and challenges—7.5/10 and a big salute to the whole team 👏🔥!

Soodhu Kavvum 2 is the textbook example of a sequel that nobody asked for—and it shows. While it makes a commendable effort to connect with the original (props for that slickly executed throwback scene featuring Shiva in the OG footage), the film stumbles hard on almost every other front. The humor? Mostly flat, with barely a couple of chuckle-worthy moments sprinkled across a sea of cringe. Shiva’s performance is more grating than charming, and the screenplay meanders without purpose, leaving you wondering, “Why does this even exist?” Ultimately, this unnecessary sequel does little more than tarnish the legacy of a cult classic. Hard pass. 3/10.
