I've been playing Madden since '92 on Sega. Up till now, Madden on the PS2 (specifically Madden 08 & 09) were the best and most fun. UP TILL NOW! This is the best On-Field Madden I've played since the PS2 days. This is the closest to NFL 2K5 and APF 2K8 that EA has come with regards to how fun the gameplay is, and how much control you have over your players. This game has a good balance of player ratings and controller skill. It looks amazing, the animations are elite, and the modes are fun to play. I aint a fan boy, as the past several years of Madden have been lackluster in my opinion, but this year's game is really impressive to me. I played almost 10 years of football from junior high to minor league arena pro football, so I'm not some young punk who is judging this as a pure video game. I'm judging this as both a game and a simulation of real football. As a quarterback in real life, I can appreciate a game that forces you to read coverages, blitz packages, identify mismatches, etc. End of writing.
