Truly a very sinister and deliciously fun movie. Not too scary, but with good tension building and a fantastically believable story.
The story centers around an app called "Countdown" that predicts down to the second how you will die. Unlike similar movies in this genre, the victims can usually see what their natural cause of death will be ~24 hours in advance. For example, the first victim would have been the victim of a drunk driving accident by her intoxicated boyfriend driving them home. Foreseeing this and unnerved by the app, she chooses to walk home, thus changing the natural order of her death. It is only when the victim strays from their natural death that this movie turns into a scary, demonic experience, the victims tormented by ghosts and guilt.
Great movie to watch when you want to be spooked but not too scared. Babysitting, with children, or by yourself.
