Absolutely brilliant. I've no clue how King managed to weave this tale from the perspective of a 9 year old girl with such accuracy and depth of character.

This movie just seemed authentic as hell. The characters are unbelievably real and the story line is great. Not everything in this world is peaches and this movie accurately portrays people living in poverty. Cage's performance is one of his best in my opinion. I enjoyed the movie but it's hard to recommend it. One must be prepared for some truly brutal scenarios. If you think you can handle it, give it a watch.

I just finished watching this and have to say, hands down, it was one of the most enjoyable movies I have ever seen. Definitely added to my all time favorites. It's a blast from start to finish. The setting, story and characters all blend together to surprise the viewer at the end. Bravo :)
