Really really poor overall. The storytelling and screenwriting is abysmal. Unexplained turns in character motivations, plagued inconsistencies. The only half-decent glimpse of a show was the long fight scene with the dark side protagonist, but is shortly ruined again by poor storytelling.

I hope you were able to sludge through the potter-heads 5* reviews. I’ll try to make this short - Eddie Redmayne Newt borders Asperger’s in this film for some reason. The overall plot has so many flaws and inconsistencies. Why the heck was that wild plan of the briefcases dragged on for so long. Nagini has vanished with no further expansion. Newts love interest appears in the final 2 minutes. The battle between Dumbledore and Grindelwald was very short and mediocre. Apparently Grindelwald isn’t allowed to try and defeat the muggles without a majority vote? Jude Law can’t decide which accent to use. Credence arc was completely quashed and made absolutely no sense. You are left utterly confused and leave with more answers than questions. This was a replica result of Star Wars’ The Last Jedi?
