Great topic for a movie. However, the storytelling was painful. Too much time-jumping and too many fast, short scenes. Made it very difficult to keep up and focus. I understand that this was a creative decision; however, I think that it took away from the great premise of the film. I expected to see much more of Oppenheimer's life, the development at Los Alamos, etc... rather than jumping around incessantly. I also get that the whole point of the movie was that his left-wing views undermined his achievements. However, this point could have been achieved in a "cleaner" way.
The positives are many: The acting is amazing, the cast and casting are phenomenal, the visual grandeur of the film is not to be understated. I appreciate all of these attributes.
When it's all said and done, though: I've been wanting to see this movie since I saw the first preview a year ago and I've been left disappointed.
