I decided to read this because of all the good reviews . . . I was not impressed. I’ll start by saying I can’t say anything for the authors other books as this is the first I’ve read. While this was an easy read, I finished it in a night, it was not a book that in my opinion was worth buying. The storyline was so bleh, I hated the main characters as they were obnoxious and annoying, SO many stupid decisions were made. The main characters for one went from “I wanna have s*x with you” to “I loathe you” back to “I’m in love with you” VERY fast, I felt NO build up between them at all. The main guy dumped his fiancé for what I think is one of the most ridiculous things ever SPOILER - she wanted him to put their family and their kids first over his dead best friends kid who has a loving couple to take care of her. I would want that too!!!!! I wouldn’t marry someone if they didn’t put our family first and instead would always put another kid above us. She didn’t tell him to completely stop seeing her (which would have been wrong), she didn’t tell him he can have nothing to do with her, she simply asked him that when they got married she wanted their kids to come first. NON SPOILER - the only reason I gave this one star and not any was because there were a couple moments that did tug on my heart strings a little and by a couple I mean literally two. But the ending was EXTREMELY rushed, I don’t think I’ve ever read a book with such a rushed ending and I didn’t like it. It left a very unrealistic ending. When I was finished reading my thoughts were “I can’t believe I spent a few hours reading this”
