This is a fine production if you've read the book or watched the Winona Ryder movie. If you haven't, you are going to have trouble figuring out what is going on. I thought the 1994 version was much better. I can't figure out why Hollywood keeps remaking films and television shows over and over. "Where have all the good screenwriters gone? Where are all the gods?"
