This movie was definitely something, but I'm not entirely convinced that it was good. The characters were fairly bland, and the plot wasn't much better. The Mandela Effect is pretty neat, but this movie did a really good job of blowing it out of proportions.
What could have been a fairly decent movie about moving forward with your life after losing a loved one, or even about positive changes regarding mental health in a situation of grief, was instead turned into a cheap sci-fi thriller about a dad that falls deeply enough into his delusions to Deus Ex Machina reality (briefly).
So, um, just pay closer attention to your kids at the beach.
