I have been hearing about this drama for years and have only now watched it and i feel regret, i was young and foolish to have not given my self this simple pleasure till now. I wont say that this is the only drama that made me a sniffling sobering mess but since thee have only been 3 before one can tell that it is a great piece of art. It has everything from comedy to love to betrayals to schemes and so much more. The cast was amazing IU played her part to perfection and the character growth was clean she went though her stages timely nothing was rush or spliced in to make it more interesting the story line was everything, i was always kept at the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next or who was going to make the first move. Let me discuss the king now, personally i blame his father for everything, he was a person who had coveted love but didn't have the strength to protect the one he loved and that is where the struggle starts. Wang So was that character that you want to hate but you have no reason to because you know everything that he has been through. Personally i do think that Hae Soo should have fought harder in order to stay by his side but i get it her personality and position would not allow her to so i wont hate too much, anyways I have fallen in love with this drama and am looking forward to rewatching it the second and third time and one hundred percent recommend this to everyone it is just that great. p.s. The princess, I like her drive hate how disloyal she is though. If i was the king i would of married her and made her infertile much less a some not even a daughter she would of gotten from me. Once more seriously if you have read this far you would have either watched already and want to see if others share you thoughts or you haven't are thinking about it, well honey think no longer if you like historical fiction or stories about harsh life of those who come in contact with the throne this drama is for you. So don't think just watch.

This was probably the one of the most exciting and thrilling Korean dramas that i have watched in my years. I was very taken with the character Oh Sunny as she show the power of women when the things and persons they love are threatened, in fact the entire drama show the strength of women in their different lights: the grand empress dowager and her willingness to kill herself for the sake of the wrong doings of her daughter in law and grandson who rotten the imperial family to the core, Min Yu Ra shows the sake of revenge she made extreme sacrifices, her position of a mother and daughter were given up for her great aspirations and last but definitely not the least the empress dowager who was driven by greed and obsessed with control enough to forget the relations she has with her sons and daughter. The men do not fall short in this drama either. I do hope that whoever reads this post will be moved enough to actually watch the drama its great and even I'm thinking of re-watching it soon.

I love love love this movie and its sequels. I have never cried and laughed more because of a movie the journey that these friends went through was both heart wretching and moving i highly recommend that those who haven't should watch it

I love this series it is everything a girl wants in a drama its funny romantic and it always has you an the edge of your seat just waiting for the next episode to start cause you cant wait to see what's gonna happen next.
