This film was not a total let down. There were certainly moments of success and areas that needed a lot more attention. The thing that challenged me the most was the random abruptness of party music which would harshly play in the middle of an intimate conversation between two characters making it hard to focus on what was being said. The constant back and forth between time was more chaotic than effective towards the plot especially given that there was very little noticeable growth between the characters over the span of the 13 years. Zendaya’s portrayal of Tashi was one dimensional and very familiar to her approach to her other roles. Tashi and Rue (Euphoria) could easily be mistaken for the same person. Her performance I would have to say was the least memorable. I will say that there wasn’t a moment where I was bored or wasn’t engaged. It definitely has good drama that keeps you interested. Unfortunately, however, I left the theatre not knowing who any of these ppl were and not liking any of them
