So bad it was hilarious. Every hackneyed set up you can imagine. An open window to get in, to find a mysterious locked desk drawer, to find the key hidden on the table top. Conveniently the hotel Annaka was staying in was behind her on the photograph. What hotel receptionist remembers any guest months later never mind their life story. Noone thought it odd that Annaka had disappeared with a strange man, her luggage uncollected, left behind in the hotel, and not even her daughter hearing from her when she'd given birth. Noone thought that was serious enough to think something bad might have happened to her. Not even when Emma told her daughter she'd found her passport on a beach. When the police officer said she'd check out Niko's address Emma wrote it down; She'd arrived there in the boot of a car. The cat and mouse chase in the woods. I've run faster for a bus. And of course the obligatory tree root sticking up so Emma could proceed even slower. Oh the drama! Weird the gunman didn't hear Niko's car arrive and depart to rescue Emma. Niko's reveal that he'd saved the files on a memory disk and hidden it only for his partner to shoot him dead (not that that made any impression on Emma) then ask Emma where the stick was. He'd just shot the man he heard say had hidden it! Complete nonsense from start to finish.
