My favorite Elder Scrolls game, the amount of freedoms you get is great, to being able to climb walls, to having seasons, the Thaumaturgy magic skill or the games banking system. The point is, there's a lot I think the future Elder Scrolls games could learn from Daggerfall, such as the character creation where you can choose between one of the eighteen classes such as the nightblade, bard, healer, acrobat, etc. You can also create a custom class by scrolling down to the bottom of the list of classes. When making a custom class, you can add advantages, such as spell abstention, or alternatively, you can add disadvantages, such as taking damage from sunlight. Note that when creating a custom class there is a diffucity dagger that affects how quickly you level up, it goes up or down base of any advangages or disadvantages or how many health points you add, there is alot to know so i recommand watching a tutorial on the character creation. The soundtrack is great, and the world is bigger than the United Kingdom. Although outdated, I personally love the art style of Daggerfall. The biggest issue with the game is bugs and glitches; however, this is where Daggerfall Unity comes into play. Daggerfall Unity fixes bugs and glitches and allows modding. So if the 90s graphics are too outdated for you, then you can get mods such as Dream to change the visuals. Beware the dungeons are huge in the game, and you find yourself lost or confuse, so i recommend using your map to see weither your quest objective is in a hidden door time to time. To conclude, I felt this game was very ambitious, and there are many features that I hope come into future installments.
