Whittaker is great. Unlike the writing. Dr Who is supposed to be fun. This series is worthy but dull. There is clearly an aim to educate, but if you don't entertain, no one is going to get the messages. It's a bit like the points in the Archers when the story line takes a break for a barely disguised government health warning about BSE, Blue Tongue or similar. Also I should have thought that Dr Who was aimed at young teenagers. If so, they won't have the foggiest idea of the context for the stories, so they won't understanding of that Dr Who is being crowbarred into true history.
