Spoiler Alert: 1) Major problem was with the editing. Amazing shots, but edits and cuts were so sharp and rapid, that it was straining for the eye, and didn't have a flow. Moreover it felt like images, and not videos 2) I never felt connected to the music, especially when Thattathin Marayathu had such an influence 3) Neither love stories seemed real.. Darshana was still okay... But do you really think Kalyani will go to Chennai with a guy she knows barely about 4) Who the hell asks for kiss in the middle of the campus, and the reply, "Ninakk vaaya naattam aanu" Arghhh Cringe... And similar Kure eshaatha comedies 5) The moment he was close with Selva, I knew he would die... Apart from the entire story being so predictable, even moments were predictable. 6) Who will keep two back to back deaths.... After coming from Selva's death, Maya's dad dies... Wth... And, this was on top of neither deaths having no emotional attachment 7) Acting seemed very mediocre... That angry lean senior was so irritating 8) Didn't feel like the story was strong... It felt so dragging...when they got married, I really wished the movie got over...And then Bharyakk pregnancy... Then when he called, I really wished Kalyani died, could've given a different direction to his and Darshana's story... But No... still dragged on 9) Bad climax climax... "Thank you for making who I'm today" ?? Ayinu Avan ippo aara... Enth Father aavunnathaano ithra valiya 'change'? 10) Felt like kind of promoting perversion on multiple occasions... 11) Poor development of characters...no character has any depth

"Opinions are personal" *SPOILER ALERT* Ok, so let me get this out of the way: Don't go with expectations. Negatives: 1. It's not an out and out comedy film as many people showcase it as. I felt comedy elements were sparse, and it was mostly just the drama part going on. 2. Horror elements were also a hit or miss. So, basically, for me, it neither justified being a horror movie, nor it justified being a comedy film. 3. Ending was rather blunt and abrupt. Not the Lijo Pellissery type of open-interpretation blunt. Rather, a feeling of rushed to conclude the story 4. Directors initially try to show that the Ouija board was manipulated by Soubin and co. Then they show that the people who manipulated are now convinced there's a supernatural element working. But, just for the climax scene, they show again that Soubin is not convinced. 5. Very predictable 6. There was no need for Arjun Ashokan in this movie at all. Yes, it adds some comedy but why? May be the director and writer want to keep this for the second part (yes, a second part is coming)? Still not justified. 7. Bad writing. Positives 1. The music: both the BGM and the songs were enjoyable 2. Acting and expressions of the characters were amazing. Adding to this is the casting 3. Cinematography and colour tone I might have missed a lot of points, hence I will be updating them with time.

Didn't have much expectations since Jeethu Joseph's career was on a free fall since Drishyam (2013). But Oh Boy, did it surprise you! There are many flaws in the movie. The first half also makes you think if he made the entire movie with coincidences like the opening scene of the movie. But the great reveal and the way it ends make you forget all the problems the movie possess. Much like Shawshank Redemption, the film may appear a bit laggy till the great reveal. But then much like it, Drishyam 2-The Resumption, is like sweet wine. Is the name also inspired? I doubt now!
