I genuinely love the story, but the writing kills me. I'm a writer myself, so reading 'he said', 'I said', 'she said' back to back to back is painful- there are so many more ways to put it- and it can be very slow moving some times. The plot and story lines could be so great if they'd just learn how to write and give their characters more, you know, characteristics. They definitely lean very heavily on stereotypes, which is disappointing. Is it worth a read? Yes, but I would not recommend spending tons of money on it. Also, the audiobook is a hard listen.
