At first I was going to give this 4 starts because of the super fast beginning that transitions into a well paced storyline. But I actually ended up liking the backstory/lore that it gave us. I also appreciated the scenes with the younger versions of the sisters practicing magic at the beginning. I also loved the characters. Every single one of the actresses *cough* Nicole Kidman *cough* did an amazing job in cluding the child-actors. Sidenote: I had not idea Kylie was played by Evan Rachel Wood but i luv it lol. My top fav characters were definetly Gillian (Gilly, Nicole Kidman), Sally's Dead Husband (Idk his name but the actors from the babysitter's club), Aunt Frances (who at first I thought was supposed to be zelda from sabrina the teenage witch), and Kylie. Also also lol, I really like how they parallel Gilly and Kylie with their similar hair and desire to love at a young age. The only thing i did have a slight problem with was with the line that goes "She can eat a cake in under a minute", when the aunts are seemingly trying to eat shame some random girl. But then I realized this movie was written in the 90s lol. OML actually lemme go on a tangent about the VISUALLSSSSSSS. This movie is so much mroe aesthetic than what I wouldve expected. i knew the beginning theme and expected a little halloween thing but this is nothing like what i thought! it was like cottagecore + witchcore (obviously) + fairycore + coastal and I love all of thoseeee Overall, amazing movie, definetly gonna watch at least twice a year!!
