No teen angst. Thank god. A lean, fit story presented so concisely that we’re ready for action in episode 2. Short stories, comic books, and episodic streamers, require the near-impossible task of hooking the audience, and getting in & out with a complete story (or story within a story in this case), with no room to spare. So far, Marvel/Star Wars have given us a mixed bag (though erring on the good side). Take Obi-Wan. Yikes. Where was that going at the end of every episode, and why? I also like the 4th wall broken in the exposition—a little Ferris Bueller for us to play with. That’s a whole other beastie on its own.
