Absolutely terrible but I absolutely loved it! I know, strange right? The story was quite hard to follow as its main events didn’t play out typically at any point and time was spent on strange interactions, little focus on threats such as toxic impending doom. Yet throughout I was fixated, smiling and laughing randomly throughout. Driver and Gerwig played their characters in extraordinary fashion representing parents in a family with little hierarchy, which was a refreshing idea, as they battle their obsessive fears of death in logical yet illogical ways. What a weird and wonderful experience, unlike anything I’ve ever watched. I was forced to search reviews afterward to see if my thoughts were shared by others, something which I’ve never had to do after a film.
