I loved the book, it was a wonderful read. I loved being fully immersed in the story once Roma found teddy. Sometimes, in the exciting bits, I forgot that Roma was actually narrating the entire time. You used a fascinating writing style where there were constant flashbacks. I liked reading about how Roma and the indigenous children all had fantastical adventures together. It seems amazing that this is based on a true story! I would love a sequel so I can see what happened to Roma up to the present day. I was fascinated by the part where Roma, her father, and the indigenous kids all worked together to catch the fish. The indigenous children showed Roma and her father how to catch bait with an old tin can and then they all spent fun time together...it's a pity more people didn't (and still don't) embrace the indigenous culture. I would recommend this book to Primary school age children and their teachers!
