Honestly was really looking forward to seeing this movie. It did not come anywhere close to the original Gladiator in my opinion. Paul Mescal was so mis cast standing shorter than the soldiers he was leading no.1, secondly the biggest bug bear for me was his misplaced and often low mumbling accent, his Kildare accent made a constant appearance which just stuck out a bit too much for me . As for his Mother in the movie, she clearly was drinking from the fountain of youth, looking younger than her flashback scenes. The characters of the Brothers playing Ceasars really...nothing short of a laughable and not convincing performance. Overall complete miscasting in a few key roles. I'm sorry Paul but this movie whilst im sure will be a blockbuster hit (on awful rainy days)...it's @hamboneproductions for me 👎 ps love the music.
