As someone who watched the movies and grew up loving the works of Tolkien I was painfully saddened by the perversion from the modern age on this story. No longer can we let sleeping dogs lie? Why must we change everything to cater to the few? The effects were amazing as most movies have so it’s nothing special, but “people” (they’re most likely bots or people who are pandered to) who liked this clearly never watched the movies let alone even pick up the novels. Why must every movie NEED this political pandering and alterations to older stories? Just make your own if it was genuinely an issue. If you guys cannot see this is just a cash grab then your apart of the problem of why movies are just becoming clear advertisements with weak stories.
