What happened in that room, the truth, is when young Marc turned into Steven when his mother came to lash out on him. She then Smacked him.
He then blacked out. Then awakened, as Jake. His mother actually died, because of his anger. He then spent quite some time in a mental institution.
The funeral tid bit didn't happen. Marc made that up. (when he went to visit his moms funeral, then Steven came and didn't know) that part was a lie.
Disney+ allowed the marvel mature rated shows in there. Soon, moon knight will be mature rating and other dark marvel series.
