I no longer care if any man loves me. If no one loves me ever again (if anybody ever did,) I can accept that with grace. What I want and need from a man is respect. Treat me as you would treat a man you respect. Talk to me as you would talk to a man you respect. I am not a meek, soft, biddable female who will follow two steps behind you, keep my head down, maintain silence in church, and obey your orders. I am a big, beautiful, tough, educated, experienced professional; articulate, accomplished, ambitious, intellectual siren who doesn't need a man to support me. If I need something from you, I will ask for it. If you can't accommodate me, get out of the way: you're part of the problem. Providing material support for me isn't love; it's finance and I can't be persuaded otherwise. I waited a long time for a man I thought I could get along with (not the man of my dreams, just one who made sense for me,) I've given up on men. Southern BAptist church claptrap is all For Men Only' amounts to. Catch me if you can, fellas I,m well worth having I'm not at all sure about you.
