I guess this is always what happens when you try to crowdfund a movie in the absence of a crowd, but I can make a couple of positive comments: 1) Most of the cast faded into the background and stayed there, but I thought that Larry Cedar's performance as Dr. Ferris was quite good. 2) The filmmakers mercifully did not include any significant portion of John Galt's three-hour diatribe from the novel. I saw this film at a soon-to-be-abandoned second-run movie house where the admission charge was $1.50. Based upon the audience size and the fact that I did not stop at the concession stand I estimate that the theater's gross for the evening to have been approximately $1.50.

Gives new meaning to the word "stinkeroo." Quite possibly the worst movie I have watched in my 7 decades. To start with, the only sympathetic character, portrayed by Robert Forster, was killed off in the first 10 minutes. I was able to anticipate most of the dialog before it was spoken. One lowlight of the film was Angela Bassett's mean-spirited parody of Whoopi Goldberg's "Guinan" from Star Trek-TNG. The only positive thing I can say about the movie is that it was short--only 1-1/2 hours. The cinematic year 2000 is remembered for John Travolta "Battlefield Earth," but "Supernova" had higher production costs and had a smaller box office.
