The Acolyte was the opposite of everything I expected and everything it could have been. The script was terrible and the acting not much better. In an attempt to show the Jedi's arrogance and complacency pre-empire, instead they were portrayed as corrupt and quasi-evil. Add to that a heavily convoluted storyline about the twins (twins again?), and an extremely boring villian in Qimir and what you're left with is an 8 episode journey that leads nowhere. The creators of Star Wars content for Disney+ are making the same mistake that was made with Marvel. Trying to be too witty and "give us something different" instead of telling good stories that leave us wanting more. Where are Favreau and Filoni when you need them?
