The whole atmosphere of tekken 4 is what makes tekken 4 my favourite tekken and one of my favourite games ever, especially growing up. Now what i mean by “atmosphere” is i mean the opening intro, the music, the storyline, the stage sets, the darkness and anger it has, the fighters backround, and there personal story that gave them this drive to get to the top and win the iron fist tournament, and this drive for revenge every character has. Tekken 4 has this raw emotional feeling to it which gives the audience a touch of empathy for the fighters. I also love how everything and all the characters have a purpose in the storyline and they all have a reason to fight which dosent make the francise/storyline seem dragged which i love. The music in the game gives off this very dark early 2000s ambient sound which i love and for each stage the music fits so perfectly. I love the music when you enter character selection and the distorted guitars and robot vocals come in, and the story part for each character is so chilling to listen to, i used to be scared of listening to that machine sounding man talk about each fighters backround/personal life, i loved it aswell because it gave the audience that scary/raw feeling that you relate or that your viewing the fighters backround. Overall i personally think this was ahead of its time for 2000/2001 which was when tekken 4 was made/released. I will forever love this game and appreciate it and will always remember me playing late at night and getting that chill down my spine, tekken 4 is an underappreciated game and should have more love and recognition
