Words cannot describe the excitement and wonder. Ya gotta see it. A lot of preparation goes into every expedition. They involve local naturalists and archaeologists, as well as their own experts. Considering the danger they face, I am so grateful that they embed safety experts into the team. Steve came close to drowning toward the end of season 1, and his safety expert scrambled to get him a lifeline. Whew! Some of you will understand this: Anthony Bourdain’s “Parts Unknown” came to mind.
