This book is extraordinary. Not only does it present a variety of aboriginal stories from various places around the country but there are also plenty of great paintings that help with the stories. Also, there are many different myths that are easier to understand when you have art to go with them. These stories are not really for children unless they are explained carefully. Most of them are very scary and you never know whether the story will be about murder, bullying, friendship, betrayal or what good or bad thing will happen next, but they have me convinced that the Dreamtime is a long time past. The book also gives you interesting and fascinating reasons why we all need to get along. It is just a fantastic book!
