Totally chilling - to know and see one stratum of society who ignored the humanity of others , wherever and whoever existed outside “their norms” in those times W2. Horrendous. I understand Jewish criticism saying, well that’s not about the Holocaust/Shoa but my view it is. It’s a view of mainstream Germany in that time 😭

Although I’ve enjoyed watching Shirley Henderson’s previous work/characters I didn’t like The House across the Street. It was excruciatingly slow and somehow lifeless. I didn’t watch until the end of it, it had no enjoyment for me. I gave up after Ep.3. My favourite work of Shirley Henderson was in ‘He thought he knew Best’ a great production and casting.
