The show is designed to pay as little as possible. The first round takes a counter for being incorrect. The UK version puts that counter in a penalty pot and all players play for it at the end of the round. Then in the alternate question round Aust version plays two questions each where as the UK version play 3 questions each.then in the final round Aust has 5 categories and in the UK they play 6. If you count up the counters there is a substantial difference.
