Haven't read the books like most of the reviewers, and I have watched 3 episodes so far.
The show is entertaining, but I have to say their is not an original idea thus far. It's like watching the Lord of The Rings, same plots happening to different characters. 4 companions set out with a wizard lady, get chased by its version of orks, to ditch them by crossing a river. Wizard lady is stabbed instead of Frodo, and the same desperate attempt to get her healed upon horseback ensues. There is even a "Weathertop" hill too. Lol..
By the third episodes everyone is split up, hmmm, just like the fellowship. Also let's introduce the shows version of Strider, who happens to be the Bard at the inn who seemingly knows alot more about what is going on then the 2 guys he saves from the inn keeper
Oh, and this is all happening because something "dark" has awoken and one of them can save the day. Just like....
It's too funny how many similarities to LOR this show has. If your an LOR fan, you will be thoroughly entertained how much they rip off one of the greatest fantasy novels of all times.
Maybe the books are different like some of the reviewers are suggesting.
