I read this non-fiction book in 1972
It mirrored my own courtship with my Joseph. I could easily relate
The ending was hard to take but it too - put the reader right in the moment with the husband/author & the sadness of losing his wife
Being so young and recently married ( Nov. 1972) … my heart was broken for this young couple
That reading was over 50 yrs ago & I’ve not forgotten….
