I read critics reviews of this movie and avoided it until I was told by a couple of people, who's opinion I trust, to actually give it a go. Am confused why bonafide critics are slamming this movie???
It's a medievial legend about a sword, a king, mages, magic and, my God, is it fun! Great cast, awesome story that delves a bit further into the power and the legacy of Excalibur, it shows King Arthur in a lot more modern, relatable way, the pace of the movie is solid, rarely a dull moment and the music was really good. I admit, some of the editing did do my head in as you really need to pay attention to every second otherwise you catch yourself untiing knots in your thought processing. But that could just be me. The GoPro camera effect they decided to go with in chasing scenes was different for me as I like to see scenes like that from a more on street observer position, not so close caption. I understand the effect they desired but it didn't really work for me. However, it didn't take away from my enjoyment of the movie. In my humble opinion this is worth the watch and I give it a definite thumbs up!
