Absolutely balls-to-the walls madness from start to finish. This is absolutely fantastic, if you like movies where everyone with even a modicum of moderation have been fired from the production at an early stage. This is just… lots. Lots and lots. I did not expect this amount of heads popped like balloons in a Marvel movie, I'll tell you that. I did not expect it , but I liked it. This is Sam Raimi, and not the kind of reasonable version of Raimi who did the Spiderman movies but the absolute madman who made Evil Dead.

Nice, smart and self-aware. Good-looking, but with less readable action than the original trilogy. There didn't need to be a fourth Matrix movie, but if one absolutely had to be made, this is pretty much the best option, I think. it doesn't feel superfluous, but like a fresh take on some classic ideas. And some new ideas thrown into the mix, just enough to make things interesting and uncertain in the first part of the movie.

Loved it. A bit slower and a lor more nuanced than the normal Marvel formula, which I really enjoyed but I guess some people might not. More mythology than classic superhero romp. The characters had good chemistry and the movie did a very good job of introducing everyone + the antagonists — considering it only had a limited time to do so.
