Sudha Mundhra, the author, is an art graduate and a voracious reader from about fifty years and enjoys all genres. She reads in Hindi as well as English.
This book is one of the finest outpourings from a mother’s heart!! Sudha had a love marriage and was living a happy family life with a doting husband and two brilliant children. Life for her had a fair proportion of ups and downs but the family sailed through it together with love and dedication for each other.
The book talks about her son, Pranay, a brilliant student and sports buff, who went into depression at the tender teenage. It was something unfathomable and uncalled for. Sudha was a hands on mother and shared a very healthy relationship with both her children, but she blamed herself completely for Pranay’s falling prey to depression. Initially, it was hard to accept the reality but she put all inhibitions to the wind and started consultation and medication to help Pranay. She talks about the journey and how as a mother who was vulnerable and at the same time determined, brought Pranay back to his old self.
It is a book worth reading to know and reinforce the fact that if a mother believes in something, she makes sure it happens, come what may.
Today, Sudha lives happily with Pranay, his wife and two lovely grandchildren.
