Let's put aside any comment on the queue, there's already enough people complaining about it, and enough people saying "Just deal with it".
Looking at the game itself, it's very aesthetically beautiful: my computer isn't a monster, a couple generations behind even, but the game is still stunning, and the sounds and music compliment it nicely, but I'm not here to watch a movie, I'm here to be engaged and compelled, drawn into some fantastical world with fun and excitement, and so far, even though the initial novelty is here, I can't say I see it lasting long at all. It'll depend heavily on the development pace, but as things currently stand (and I'm not the sort to review a game on what it COULD be, but what it currently is), New World feels like a crafting slog, with aspects of pvp dashed on top. Fun for a bit, but eventually, an unpaid second job.
