*Warning spoilers*
I wasn’t sure what to expect from this movie as I didn’t watch the trailer and was one I flicked past on Prime and thought I’d give it a go.
1hr and 50 minutes of my time wasted, the storyline seemed non-existent, things weren’t explained fully when she was having flashbacks, putting the pigeon in the fridge after it died hitting the window!?
It actually did start to get suspenseful once things started to unravel where it was obvious the husband was messing with her eyedrops and had taken the dog, I could have guessed he’d have done something like that 10 minutes in because they’d made him a shady character from from beginning, but to get to that part of the story it took around and hour and 10 minutes. Then all of a sudden he’s racing home, his eyes are going blurry, hit hits a lorry, and then she’s suddenly given birth. Then credits.
So many odd things happened in the storyline like going to what seemed like a sex show where people were wearing animal masks, a random guy touching her ass in the street and getting punched, her sister not really making a fuss out of her regaining her sight back, the fact she got pregnant and her husband didn’t say anything about the fact he can’t have kids, him randomly watching the video of them having sex on the train and zooming in when he paused in various places.
All a bit odd, when it did start to get better I was hoping for some sort of big reveal, argument, chase scene, or him coming home and she’d moved out. Nada.
I’ve given two stars because I really did like the cinematography and the way they depicted seeing through her eyes, but a very slow burner with not much reward.
