First of all, there’s a gritty feel and look of the movie which eventually combines with a surreal adventure at the Juke. Wow, what a treat. And then a further twist which was set up earlier in the movie. I don’t have to repeat what everyone else has said which is at the acting is fabulous, interesting characters, the music is wonderful, and the storyline most interesting and unique. Just when we were all getting bored with this genre and the many incredibly flat movies in the past year, along comes a fresh, layered, insightful, inventive new one with a most unique storyline.

I've never seen anything like this. Its so refreshing! I feel uncomfortable yet I aboslutely am enamored with the characters, this place, and wherever the story is taking me. Can't stop watching this series!

Brilliant. The characters, stars, the writing and storytelling is heartwarming and true. Each episode reveals the flaw or quirkiness of a relationship and resolves the issues with a heartwarming representation of love which comes to light in many forms. Looking forward to the next season.

This is a supurb series with contemporary untertones and thrilling twists. The actors are more than engaging and every one of their characters grows and is connected somehow. There are parts that are completly unexpected, and some that are forshadowed. The fade outs remind me of the old tv shows where there were commercials, or perhaps a book with chapters, or a play. Cheers to the writers and to the amazing actors! The Bates Motel; people check in to their lives and they check out of their lives.

In my opinion, the series is very close to the book, extracts the most important elements of the story, and is a perfect story to tell during this political era. The actors are strong and the sets are beautiful. Brava to Zoe Kazan. Of course, everyone is amazing and I want to keep watching the characters. Can't wait for next season!
