Historical inaccuracies--such as ships depicted in Pearl Harbor that did not exist at the time and the unlikelihood of the public watching a television broadcast in a store front--greatly diminish the appeal of this show and make one question how much about various relationships is factual. The research and production are not up to Masterpiece standards. There is no evidence refugees and wounded sailors stayed overnight at Pooks Hill nor that Martha invited a wounded veteran to challenge guests at a dinner with the President. German saboteurs came ashore at Amagansett, Long Island, New York no where near where Princess Martha and her family were staying at Pook's Hill which is in Bethesda, MD. It was not necessary to invent so much to tell a good story--shame on Masterpiece.
