Manjummel Boys is phenomenal. Movie Making at its very best. The technical team specially the Production Design is too good. The whole cast was awesome. Soubin, Bhasi and Deepak stands out among the 11. Sushin Shyam's music and BG Score is breathtaking. In the last 30 mins you will literally be at the edge of your seats. The screenplay is smartly written by Chidambaram. Every small scenes in the 1st half an hour has relevance when the movie reaches midpoint. Based on a true story, can't even imagine what the real Manjummel Boys went through, truly hats off.

Bramayugam = Mind Blowing. Set in 17th Century South Malabar region, this B&W Psychological Horror Thriller is Indian Cinema at its very best. The world building, Folklore story with horror elements was executed brilliantly by Rahul Sadashivan. An amazing follow up after Bhoothakalam. Top Notch Technical team (Cinematography, Editing, Sound Design, Production Design) Music by Christo Xavier elevates the movie and provides a unforgettable theatrical experience. Never been a big fan of Mammukka, but since the past 2 years his filmography has been exceptional and with this performance he just hit it out of the park. Those voice modulation and expressions. WOW. Arjun Ashokan was brilliant - definitely a career best performance. Sidhart Bharathan was a revelation. A must watch movie in theatres. Definitely worth it.

There's a scene in Gully Boy where Murad's (Ranveer Singh) aunt tells him if you really want to sing why dont you try Ghazals, your uncle would love it too..The look on Ranveer's face at that juncture is just priceless..!! Gully Boy is undoubtedly the best hindi movie i have watched in recent times. This rap to riches story is just terrific, the pacing is pitch perfect. Jay Oza's cinematography brings to life the mumbai streets with such panache..!! Zoya Akhtar is the best directors we have among the mainstream cinema makers..i mean just look at her filmography..Luck By Chance,ZNMD, DDD..she definitely is a master storyteller. Take a Bow!! The music is upbeat and crisp, the rap battles were lit and I was actually hooting in the theater during those scenes. The lyrics of Azaadi, Doori are my personal favorite. Ranveer Singh is the man of the moment..his time has definitely come..!! Ranveer's restrained and visceral performance is definitely one of his best in his short span of bollywood journey. I can't remember the last time when i was amazed with a female actor this much..Alia Bhatt as the possessive and hot headed girlfriend was too good. The Supporting actors: Siddhant Chaturvedi as Ranveer's mentor was a revelation and has announced his arrival to cinema's with elaan.. The three Vijay's - Maurya (also the dialogue writer), Raaz and Varma have amazing screen presence and takes the movie to a different level with their realistic acting. Amrutha Subhash and Sheeba Chadda playing protagonist's mom's were just perfect in their roles. All Mumbaikar's will connect to this movie..all thanks to the Dialogues..absolutely loved the bombayya slang and me being a mumbaikar had a blast..!! So, I will sum up the movie in Mumbai's Gully Boy's slang: Gully Boy is..Bahut Hard..Bahut Hard..!!!

2018: Sudani From Nigeria. 2019: Kumbalangi Nights. This should sum up how good this movie is..one of the most beautiful movies to come out in Malayalam Cinema and it's definitely here to stay. Full marks to Syam Pushkaran for this gem of a movie. It's a story about real people with flaws and everyone has nailed it. It's like a competition in themselves..who is goin to outshine their co-actors. Beautiful Cinematography by Shyju, Sushin Shyam's music is soothing and haunting when required. Editing is crisp, want to mention about the costumes..it was so real and simple..Sameera Saneesh take a bow. Fahadh, Soubin, Shane are just outstanding. Newcomer Anna Ben deserves a mention as well. Her smile is infectious. Madhu Narayanan's direction has pothettans brilliance touch to it..both come from Aashiq Abu school of direction 😉 Finally, in words of Shammy Kumbalangi Nights : The Complete Movie..!!
