I LOVE how hateable this movie is. I think it was too perfect. Everything going according to plan all the time. Too slow. Too smooth. It's more like a caricature of a real heist movie. The only real problem they encountered was that transponder thing falling on the floor and breaking. Even that, Kevin knew exactly how to fix it after he just said he has no idea how to fix it. LOL. So yeah. This is a caricature of a heist movie. Just like a caricature artwork, the comedy is the movie itself. I mean, a plane lands on the road, breaks apart, rolls around, and then it just stops short of the house, spills the gold, doesn't catch fire, and all onboard just walks out without a single scratch? That's basically a CARTOON! Everyone says Kevin Hart shouldn't try doing a serious role in an action movie like this. But they fail to realize his comedy gold of making the whole movie a big caricature/cartoon/joke by itself. That was his heist from us. Lol

Terrible acting. The trailer was very catchy but I regretted the movie. It was like the only thing worth watching in the movie was already covered in the trailer. And the rest of the movie was just bad acting. Every character was portrayed with bad acting. And the story just kept taking completely unexplained turns with no apparent reason. Suddenly there's bad guys. Suddenly Santa jumps out. Suddenly the Uber driver who weirdly slaps the hand has dropped them off exactly where they wanted to go, AND disappeared. If you want to see the movie just watch the trailer and never watch the actual movie.

Boot the mapping sequence! The movie is not exactly amazing but it's not terrible either. The plot was quite interesting and the way it explored human cloning is quite unique. But the acting was bad. I wish they had picked a better actor than Keanu as he has a poker face all the time! (Pretty much all the actors did.) There wasn't much depth to any of the characters. All conversations were rather superficial. Even the technology is superficial. (SciFi geeks get hooked when they can understand the fictional technology and imagine the possibilities, so if you make a scifi movie make sure the technology is obvious or explained!) Of course there were plot holes. What movie doesn't? But how is everyone so casual about everything? We almost crashed into a truck in heavy rain and you're just gonna keep driving? Ok cool. Your family is dead? Ok cool. I'm a clone? Ok cool. You wanna fry the chip in my spine and potentially stop my heart and kill me (again)? Ok cool. The pod puts a tracker in the body it grows. If Will already knew about it why didn't he get Ed to bypass this somehow during the cloning? Or at least talk about it and have a lame excuse why it can't be done. And despite frying the trackers, the men in black found them anyway. Totally unexplained how they managed to. Maybe they put a tracker on the car? And then the whole idea of making them all forget Zoe, only for Keanu to casually drop that "oh hey, you're clones" and later "oh hey, we had another daughter. I made you forget her". He couldn't just clone her in the next 17 days then, and IDK lie that Zoe went somewhere, or just tell the truth that he's making her clone? And it would seem that he brought back all the memories of Zoe so easily after crying over deleting them. He eventually cloned her too. I hope he fried that tracker. And that's it for my review. Now: Energize! PS: why 17 days?

Very cute animation and entertaining story. I just think they missed a chance for a funny mid-credits scene, right after the first song in credits. Back in the jungle, we'd see the anaconda Lutador still tied up, calling for help. The other animals come out and realize they can make noise without fearing him so they start doing so (no melody, just like Gabi) and the snake screams in agony. Zoom into his screaming mouth and cut to black. Full credit rolls.

Make it extra intense with speed set to1.5x

@Archit misal you said "no traces of nudity or romance". I beg to differ. For one the beautifully played romantic display between Frank and Irene was one of the most enjoyable scenes in the movie. Second, who can forget the nudity of the Chameleon Guy that was in full display all over the street (though no one could see him)? Great movie overall. Thoroughly enjoyed the premise. It turned the entire superhero genre on its head by making superpowers themselves the villain of the story. Very few films like this depart from the Hollywood minting machine that churn out the same old formula over and over again. Also: I learnt something new about pistol shrimp, and it was so cool to see what Art could do. This movie is one of those gems where the critics are wrong and the audience is right. Movie critics have just lost their sense of what it means to actually enjoy a movie and not critique it. True, this ain't your deeply meaningful art film. But if you want an action-packed fast-paced sci-fi movie with a fresh perspective, tap that Play button on Netflix now!

Pro Tip: The pace of this series is slower than many others. Use the speed setting in Netflix to speed it up to 1.5x (or to 1.25x if you find 1.5x too fast). Understandably this is TV drama so emotions run high. I imagine a real mission would have a crew that is already very familiar with each other and working great together even before the mission. But this feels like high school drama in space. I felt the biggest plot hole was the small hole they made in crew quarters. Instead of running off they could have had a patch ready to plug the hole. I mean, five of the smartest minds and a team in Houston couldn't think of that (and I could)? Nevertheless the series was a great watch. The CGI for spacewalks was amazing. I think the best part of the series was the last scene where the first photograph from Mars got downloaded. It showed that no one, and no one country can take credit for being the first on Mars. And that's a really important message because indeed the crew travelled together, worked together and completed the mission together. It's only fitting they get equal credit together. It's a message of unity to look beyond borders, beyond the notion of "motherland" to the humanity of every individual being the same regardless of their origin, and a testament to what humanity can achieve together if they transcend borders and work together towards a common goal. It is a beautiful message. It would have been better showcased if all the astronauts (or cosmonauts) faced the same way to their left, displayed their common insignia towards the camera and hiding their flags away from it. Regardless, the look on the Chinese ambassador's face was totally worth getting this beautiful message through.
