Christie Henderson

I have never been able to get into chess, despite trying to a couple times, so I wasn't sure I would be very entertained by a show focusing on it. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The main actress is captivating and relatable, and the story is sort of an old fashioned fairy tale with the perfect balance of tragedy and triumph. There were several times i was afraid it would go darker, but I was pleased it didn't. I also think it was nice that her finding her comfort zone was not tied to a romantic relationship. It was a beautiful story, very well told and directed.
