Alkaline Trio are back! This 10th album, and their first in nearly 6 years is possibly one of the best in their discography. The opening track sets the tone for the rest of the album. Each song has a memorable and distinctive guitar riff, which is a bit of a change from Skiba’s usual power chords and octaves. Some highlights are songs like “Versions Of You” which Dan takes the lead on, “Break” which is classic Trio, Broken Down in a Time Machine” another gem from Dan, and the album closer “Teenage Heart” I definitely recommend listening to it whether you’re a longtime fan or just finding out about Alkaline Trio now.

Not perfect, but when it’s good, it’s REALLY good. When it’s bad, it’s not the worst, but it’s annoying. If you’re a Halloween/ Michael Myers fan, you’ll enjoy this film as it features Myers pretty heavily compared to even it’s predecessor. There’s a handful of things I really disliked, but overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It definitely suffers from being part 2 out of 3. Let’s hope they can make Halloween ENDS and not make us wait 3-4 years for another film. Definitely worth checking out.
