I used to never write reviews but after I wrote my first, I thought that shows that I adored deserved a review as well, even if my words could never do this show justice.
Honestly, at first, I was completely unaware of how much I would come to love this show. I've heard about this show many times but I wasn't sure of how I would like it as I cater to enjoying romance. I had not priorly read Anne of Green Gables nor did I know anything about this show before watching it so I was pleasantly surprised. I was at first a bit bothered by the amount of how much Anne spoke and how emotional she was at first. I eventually became used to it and even began to love the fact that she was quick to scold something that was wrong and take action even though they sometimes put her in bad situations. This show speaks on problems like racism, sexism, poverty, as well as indigenous issues which I admire. I loved the characters as well as the relationships that were formed. I found myself binging the entire show within a couple of days and although I lost sleep over this show, I don't regret it one bit and would gladly do it over. As a teenager myself, during the third season, I could relate to Anne when she found herself growing up and it made me emotional. I loved seeing Anne come of age and grow up which makes me so very sad to see the show come to an end. I love this show so much and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.
