this movie has no idea what cross country is! the nurse tells jessica to try out for xc, meets her at the track, & races a mile (a track event, not xc). with no training i might add. then, mans shows up to school in a shirt that very blatantly says track & field, and yet they still say she joined xc. it makes sense for her to try out for xc, given that it’s a fall sport and it is clearly fall, but track is spring! smh, get your sports right. also, this movie was generally really bad.
