A Timeless Adventure/Comedy Classic that combines Common Sense and Moral Values without sacrificing Laughs or Simplicity. The Late Andy Griffith was as smart as he was funny and was about as close as a person could get; to meeting a BloodHound in Human form, In that He (Andy G.)always found"The Funny Bone". If you like the show, then I would highly recommend "No Time For Sergeants" A hilarious but, often forgotten gem of a movie that casts yours truly as "Will Stockdale". A good-Natured Country boy who is seen as a Rube until it's discovered that he's anything but, A One Trick Pony...

The Show is an Accurate Portrayal of The 1970s and The people who once existed. It reminds me of a Polaroid Viewfinder that I once had as a child;A wonderful yet wistful snapshot of a world that sadly doesn't exist anymore. For anyone who has an intellectual curiosity;you could do a lot worse. The sitcom is rare in that it Perfectly straddles that Tightrope between Smart and Funny....

This show blows and always has. I only watched several episodes when the show Initially premiered and I was genuinely unimpressed. This SHAM of a sitcom from the onset was a farce,in that it depicts a world that doesn't exist;even in the "Burbs " How ironic it was that The very same US Corporations that sold off our Manufacturing Jobs and Equipment to Foreign Countries(relegating us to a Service-Oriented Economy)were also some of the financial backers for a show that praised Family, Hard-Work and Self-Reliance ;Hypocrisy available at a local "Pie In Sky"Office near you...
