Better than "Master and Commander". And I loved that movie. This one has more masterful honesty and is a true story other than the made up Master and Commander - in reality the French Ship in the latter movie was the U.S. Constitution. The producers would get zero funding so they pretended it to be French.
The wood used was Soft Oak - not iron. Soft Oak can be only found in the Sea Islands off the Coast of Georgia and South Carolina and was more important than gold to ship builders in New England.
